Position Overview:

TFG Infotec is seeking a skilled Test Analyst to enhance its Store Experience product team.

The Infotec Testing team is in search of an experienced Test Analyst to facilitate quality solutions through agile testing methodologies and to maintain an automation framework aligned with our quality assurance strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Store Experience product team, including software engineers, product owners, and testers, to address business strategic needs within the Customer portfolio.
  • Develop SQL scripts for testing and quality assurance purposes.
  • Analyze requirements and technical documentation to derive test cases.
  • Estimate testing efforts for project planning within a Scrum framework.
  • Create, execute, and monitor comprehensive test plans.
  • Conduct various testing phases: Functional, System Integration, and Regression Testing.
  • Perform API technical testing using tools like SoapUI or POSTMAN.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
  • Utilize automated scripting and frameworks as needed.
  • Conduct system integration testing with peer systems and teams.
  • Coordinate regression testing activities and interpret results for software releases.
  • Draft and review testing documentation, including specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Build reusable test packs for all project phases.
  • Review business and system requirements to ensure testability and early issue identification.
  • Prepare detailed test plans and schedules.
  • Design effective test cases and scenarios for system and application testing.
  • Apply various testing methods, techniques, and standards, including functional, usability, load, regression, and performance testing.
  • Execute test cases to assess system quality and mitigate risks.
  • Identify and investigate issues as they arise.
  • Participate in and manage the defect management process.

Performance Expectations:

  • Work closely with Scrum teams within an Agile development environment.
  • Review business and system requirements, including agile stories, to ensure testability and early issue identification.
  • Prepare and manage test plans and schedules.
  • Design and implement test cases and scenarios for effective system testing.
  • Utilize various testing methods and standards.
  • Execute test cases to evaluate system quality and reduce risks.
  • Conduct a variety of functional and non-functional testing types.
  • Maintain and enhance the test automation suite.
  • Identify and investigate issues, collaborating with Product Owners and Developers.
  • Manage defects through to resolution.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress and system quality.
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a National Diploma in Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Test Analyst role within an Agile delivery team following Scrum methodologies.
  • At least 2 years of experience testing systems in a multi-tier architecture.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification.
  • Familiarity with system integration solutions.
  • Understanding of the role of testing in both Waterfall and Agile development projects.
  • Experience with testing tools such as SOAPUI and Postman.
  • Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA, Microsoft Test Manager (TFS), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid experience with database management systems, such as SQL Server or Oracle, with the ability to read and write SQL queries.

  • Proficient in Test Planning and Test Analysis.
  • At least 2 years of SQL scripting experience.
  • Experience in both black and white box testing.

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Experience with SOAPUI and Postman.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and HTTP.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and Test Case Management.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification.
  • ISTQB Agile Tester certification.
