Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with customers to capture their orders, provide quotations, and ensure timely delivery. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Receiving customer orders via various means, including mail, phone, and electronic communication.
  2. Obtaining accurate customer information and entering it into the order form.
  3. Preparing customer invoices and quotations.
  4. Notifying relevant departments when supplies are low.
  5. Keeping customers informed about prices, delivery dates, and any anticipated delays.
  6. Liaising with sales teams and third-party logistics providers to manage customer orders and delivery schedules.
  7. Inspecting outgoing orders to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  8. Reviewing reports to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  9. Liaising with third-party logistics providers to trace or accelerate shipments as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have proficiency in database and ordering systems, as well as experience with SAP, Excel, and Pastel.

Desired Work Experience

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Education and Qualification Level

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Grade 12/Matric qualification being an added advantage.
