Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Implementation: Collaborate with our development team to design and implement databases that meet our business needs.
  • Database Security: Implement security policies, data encryption, and access control to protect our data from unauthorized access.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, tuning, and storage management to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backups of data and ensure data integrity through recovery and testing.
  • Standards and Compliance: Enforce standards, policies, and procedures related to data management and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Project Support: Provide 3rd line support for database-related projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: IT-related degree or diploma and Microsoft Certification (MCSA Database Development & Administration).
  • Experience: 7 years of IT experience, 3-5 years of DBA experience, and 2 years of project management experience (advantageous).
