PURPOSE: Payment systems participants and providers are key drivers in innovation and growth. The focus of this role is to identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships for the expansion of the SA payments ecosystem and customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies, collaborating with PSPs, payments technology enablers, and payments value solutions providers.
- Identify and qualify market opportunities, trends, and forces for growth.
- Manage sales pipelines and report to internal stakeholders.
- Mentor team members, ensuring skills transfer and a positive team culture.
- Monitor risks, escalate them when necessary, and adhere to relevant policies.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE:
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with banking and payment industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel).
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in business development.
- Background in Fintech/Payments/Banking/Financial Services.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in related fields with demonstrable success.
