About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT or Engineering Graduate to join our team at JenRec Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT or Engineering Graduate, you will be responsible for:

  • Development: Working on user stories, estimating consistently, implementing as specified, discussing approach with the team, updating status changes promptly, and writing automated regression tests to cover acceptance tests.
  • Development: Writing code, discussing approach/design with the team, checking for errors before check-in, reviewing with the team before check-in, testing SQL scripts before check-in, running all regression tests before check-in, discussing smells with the team and refactoring, and complying with conventions.
  • Administration: Completing timesheets in a timely manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.Sc or B.Eng degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Above-average results, with a guideline of 65% average at university and A or B for Maths HG in matric.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented software languages.
  • Good communication skills.
  • No prior experience is required, but a passion for learning and growth is essential.
