Technical Accountant

Flair TM is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Technical Accountant. As a key member of our finance division, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise on IFRS and prepare related technical opinions.
  • Financial Statements: Prepare and review financial statements as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Oversight: Oversee income and deferred tax calculations for managed entities and assist with provisional tax returns and IT14 returns.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns and support auditors during interim and final audits, including preparation of working papers.
  • Reporting Standards: Stay updated on reporting standards and assist with IFRS and other reporting requirements and disclosures at interim and year-end.
  • Policy Development: Aid in drafting and implementing policies related to financial systems and procedures.
  • Support: Provide support to Financial Managers throughout the reporting process and oversee financial reporting for MMH QIHF and Realfin.
  • Change Management: Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
  • Project Management: Engage in ad-hoc projects related to the finance division's financial and administrative needs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified CA(SA) with post-article experience essential.
  • Experience with IFRS reporting.
  • Strong understanding of income tax and substantial experience in drafting and understanding financial statements.
  • Experience in a corporate finance environment advantageous.
Computer Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Draftworx/CaseWare.
  • Familiarity with JDE/Insight reporting and Cognos is advantageous.
