Procurement Manager for Raw Materials Sourcing

At HR Genie, we're seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of high-quality raw materials. This role is ideal for a professional with strong negotiation skills, industry expertise, and excellent relationship-building abilities.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing stock levels while minimizing stockouts. They will also conduct cost analyses to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Sourcing and procuring raw materials, equipment, consumables, and packaging in line with quality and safety regulations.
- Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective pricing and timely deliveries.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers through effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitoring supplier performance by analyzing feedback from relevant departments.
- Performing procurement transactions through SYSPRO, including requisitions, purchase orders, and MRP.
- Communicating proactively with internal and external stakeholders to support departmental objectives.
- Ensuring on-time deliveries while optimizing stock levels and minimizing stockouts.
- Managing stock rotation within agreed limits and ensuring proper stock handling.
- Addressing supplier complaints and resolving issues promptly.
- Conducting cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
- Compiling and presenting monthly procurement reports.
- Staying informed on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging raw material technologies.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in raw materials procurement within the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum.
