Job Title: Export Process Controller

We are seeking an experienced Export Process Controller to join our team at Staff Unlimited Recruitment Pty Ltd T/A MPC Recruitment Group EC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and manage the export process from receipt of order to final delivery as defined per Incoterms 2020.
  • Request booking confirmation from the shipping line/co-loader and register files on Cargo Wise.
  • Inform the transporter of the planned export shipment by sending a collection/delivery instruction.
  • Monitor pick-up and pack dates in accordance with firm stacks, updating Cargo Wise in real-time.
  • Ensure all commercial documentation received tallies and is correct for customs clearance purposes.
  • Process customs declarations in conformance with the Customs and Excise Act 91 of 1964.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate customs exams and follow-ups.
  • Arrange for inspections and certificates (EUR1/COO/GSP/CNCA/ISF Filing).
  • Capture and arrange shipping instructions/Bills of Lading – error-free.
  • Monitor vessel sailing and confirm containers shipped on board.
  • Process cargo dues and update internal work notes on Cargo Wise in real-time.
  • Generate status reports to customers daily/progressively regarding shipment milestones.
  • Ensure containers are stacked within prescribed times and prepare costing sheets.
  • Ensure invoices are sent to customers within KPI and reconcile all 3rd party invoices.
  • Manage finance in operations, including WIP and accruals, and out-of-transaction losses.
  • Evaluate and resolve problems presented by team members.

Requirements:

  • A matric certificate.
  • Minimum 3-5 years ocean freight imports experience.
  • A very good understanding of customs procedures.
