Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled Heavy Machinery Service Technicians to join our team at The Legends Agency.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a hands-on approach and a passion for maintaining and servicing industrial machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and emergency service calls at client locations, both indoors and outdoors, under varying environmental conditions.
  • Equipment Servicing: Conduct cleaning, lubrication, battery maintenance, and repair of engines, lift mechanisms, and all system components.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with warehouse staff and clients to accurately diagnose issues and develop effective service plans.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance checks to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough logs of all work performed, complete safety checklists, and submit necessary forms.
  • Major Repairs: Carry out equipment disassembly and reassembly as needed, and relocate equipment for convenience or major repairs.
  • Physical Work: Handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting and equipment movement.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure a clean, safe working environment that adheres to regulatory safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; ability to read and apply information from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the use and maintenance of a variety of hand tools and machinery.
  • Communication and Client Service: Ability to interact professionally with clients, ensuring satisfaction and service quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage company stock responsibly and utilize both manual and computer-based inventory systems.
  • Company Representation: Assist in promoting company services and contributing to overall business success.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Keep workshop supplies and tools in excellent condition and maintain a well-organized workspace.
  • Valid Drivers License: Required for travel to client sites.

  • Flexibility: Availability to respond to service calls at any time.
  • Proactive Approach: Maintain a proactive and cooperative approach to make the company competitive within the forklift industry.

What We Offer:

R23,000 - R25,000 per month
