Job Description

This is a key management role that requires an experienced manager who can attract clients, provide excellent customer service, motivate staff, control costs, and maintain high levels of sales on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecast.
  • Develop a sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels of cars on premises.
  • Control costs within the department to budget.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of car and product display materials are available.
  • Review pricing policies, discounts, and trade-in deals to maintain dealership profitability.
  • Monitor the Sales Department's financial performance on a weekly basis.
  • Address customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure vehicle delivery meets the Vehicle Delivery Quality Index (VDQI) standards.
  • Ensure the Sales Executive team receives new model launch training.
  • Establish staffing levels and training requirements to achieve sales objectives.
  • Monitor floorplan activities.
  • Ensure stock levels are within company policy.
  • Maximize the sale of back-end products.
Requirements
  • A minimum of Grade 12.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial position within the motor vehicle industry.
  • A Sales Tertiary qualification is an added advantage.
  • A clear criminal record.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Sales management and marketing skills, knowledge, and experience.
