CSSD Supervisor

A challenging opportunity exists for a CSSD Supervisor at Africa Health Care, reporting to the Theatre Unit Manager. The primary objective of this role is to assist the Theatre Unit Manager in managing the operations of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), ensuring that all operational requirements within the department are met.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of modern nursing care principles and practices in the highly specialized field of operating theatre, as well as excellent problem-solving, analysis, and judgement skills.
Main Responsibilities- Packing and Sterilization: Ensure correct packing and sterilization of instrument sets and linen packs for theatre and doctors' rooms in accordance with Africa Health Care's infection control standards by CSSD staff.
- Legislation Compliance: Manage CSSD to comply with relevant legislation and Company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Training and Development: Arrange and conduct in-service training and training programs for CSSD staff.
- Staff Management: Assist Theatre Unit Manager in managing CSSD staff to ensure adequate and cost-effective staffing, promoting cooperative working relationships and performance management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist Theatre Unit Manager in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Department to ensure adherence to infection control and SHEQ policies and procedures.
