Job Summary:

As the Assistant Store Manager for Mr Price Group Limited at Euphorbia Park, Naboomspruit, you will play a vital role in supporting the store manager in ensuring the store's daily operations are aligned with company objectives, customer service standards, and overall business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee stock management, ensuring accurate receiving, unpacking, and replenishing the sales floor.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, utilizing defined processes to mitigate risks and maintain adequate stock on hand.
  • Authorise write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
  • Analyse sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans and increase sales performance.
  • Review in-store product performance and provide feedback to support centre to enhance sales.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.
  • Lead and drive the team to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
  • Drive training, coaching, and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory/assistant store management capacity.
  • Understanding of sales and service management.
  • Budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of retail trade.
  • Understanding of brand, customer, and product.
