About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Manager to lead the electrical aspects of a large-scale mining project in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Project Management/Engineering and be able to effectively manage electrical projects, ensuring high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.

Main Accountabilities
  • Plan and execute electrical project developments.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to deliver project outcomes.
  • Direct electrical activities at the construction site.
  • Stay updated on legal and electrical requirements for construction activities.
  • Apply Electrical Quality Assurance and Inspection systems to ensure quality work.
  • Continuously monitor and improve electrical activities at the construction site.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • GCC Mines & Works Electrical certification is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Electrical Project Management/Engineering within the Mining sector.
  • Prior experience working on start-up/Greenfields projects is advantageous.
  • Strong English communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a diverse team of subordinates.
  • Electrical certification with ECSA is essential.
  • Experience in electrical installation of Crushers/Mills/Mining equipment.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage charging and installations.
