Millwright Job Description

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team in Benoni. As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the optimal operation of machinery and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Logistics and Reporting: Maintain and update maintenance logs and reports accurately to track equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Installation and Modification: Assist in the installation of new machinery and modifications to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment failures swiftly, and communicate effectively to ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Millwright with a recognized trade certificate.
  • Experience: Must have experience in the beverage industry.
  • Skills: Proficient in mechanical and electrical repair techniques, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, and ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
