Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drawing Office Manager to join our team at CA Support CC.

The purpose of the role is to oversee the development and execution of design and working drawings for clients, production purposes, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Draughting Management: Manage project draughting and documentation requirements while ensuring accurate delivery on time. This includes assessing client needs, concept development, production capability, and site specifications.
  2. Quality Management: Oversee and proactively manage the quality of drawings in the production department and final installation. Regular assessment of suppliers and subcontractors with strategic changes when required.
  3. People Management: Lead, manage, and control subordinates and their output by addressing day-to-day issues and ensuring employees have necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure drawings align with client needs, project timelines, machinery's capability, and resource availability.
  5. Drawing Management: Build and maintain the CAD / Drawing Library, housekeeping of the Drawing Office, and revision management. Standardisation of drawing configurations and processes using the drawing program capabilities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary design qualification (engineering, industrial or architectural)
  • 5 years' experience in a sizable manufacturing environment
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Preferable experience in the building industry
