Job Title: Tax Compliance Supervisor

At The Legends Agency, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Tax Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our tax compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of tax department staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the tax manager to complete complex income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Monitor and administer provisional tax, ensuring timely completion and submission.
  • Assist with the dispute resolution process, drafting objections, appeals, and complaints, and liaising with SARS as necessary.
  • Consult with clients on basic tax queries, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Prepare and review complex tax calculations and returns on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate with partners regarding refund lists and ensure timely delivery of documents, returns, and payments to SARS.
  • Oversee the administration of SARS-related documentation, including assessments and notifications.
  • Assist compliance officers with GreatSoft-related problems and provide training and support as needed.
  • Ensure the delivery of documents, returns, and payments to SARS at the end of each month.
  • Follow up with clients regarding payments and ensure timely resolution of disputes.
  • Assist the tax manager in updating lists and ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 with accounting as a subject.
  • Tax or other relevant qualifications with a decent track record of work experience (5 years).
  • Experience in a tax environment is essential.
  • Registered Tax Practitioner or eligibility to be registered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and GreatSoft.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working under the supervision of the tax manager. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.
