About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Governance Officer to join our team at a renowned company based in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our corporate services and drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure effective governance and compliance across all aspects of the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and performance measurement.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to establish and maintain effective institutional governance systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure good governance practices are embedded throughout the organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of audit and risk management frameworks.
  • Oversee budget and finance management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain human resources management frameworks, including talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or national diploma in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, law, or public administration).
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with 8 years at general management level (equivalent to chief director in the public service).
  • Proven track record of successful operational and process management within the public or private sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of policy and legislation, with expertise in corporate services and delegation of powers.
  • Understanding of institutional governance systems, performance management, and good governance principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
