Job Description:
The AR Collections Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of an organization by overseeing collection activities and reconciling AR statements. This key position ensures timely payments from customers for goods or services rendered, while maintaining accurate records of transactions and fostering positive relationships with clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Generate and send accurate and timely statements of accounts or required reports to customers, monitoring and following up on outstanding balances and past due accounts via e-mails and calls.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and discrepancies related to accounts receivable, responding promptly and professionally to resolve issues and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables and reduce delinquency, contacting customers to secure payment on overdue accounts and escalating issues as necessary.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, cash flow projections, and collection effectiveness metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management based on analysis of receivables data.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
- Capability of traveling outside of Country when needed.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
