Job Overview

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operational functioning of the Armed Response department, ensuring efficiency and professionalism. Key duties include:

  • Maintaining quality, service, and outputs related to work in the district (alarm services, contact centers, armed response, guarding etc.) in compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Overseeing key projects, processes, and performance reports.
  • Identifying and solving immediate operational problems within the team environment and escalating unresolved issues as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and experience in managing teams. A bachelor's degree or diploma is preferred.

Key Performance AreasOperations (50%)

The Regional Operations Manager will be accountable for maintaining quality, service, and outputs related to work in the district. This includes:

  • Ensuring effective operations management service delivery, ensuring compliance with identified service practices, principles, and processes.
  • Monitoring operations for efficiency and providing feedback to the team.
  • Visiting client sites on an ongoing basis.
Forecasting, Budgeting, and Financial Management (20%)

The successful candidate will assist with the compilation of the budget aligned to the delivery of plans, monitor variances, report on the achievement of planned objectives, and escalate deviations.

Governance and Reporting (15%)

The Regional Operations Manager will implement governance and compliance policies and processes effectively. This includes:

  • Identifying, managing, and providing feedback on any risk exposure within the region.
  • Providing inputs for the business area on financial and non-financial reports.
People Management (15%)

The successful candidate will create individual and team ownership for decisions, plans, and strategies by collaborating with and empowering team members.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is R850,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement fund contributions, and paid time off.
