We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Job Masters.
Job Summary:The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the companies reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with IFRS for SMEs.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounting Oversight: Oversee the management of all cash, debtors, and creditors, ensuring that they are managed according to standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget to actuals, and financial projections, implementing and maintaining effective financial reporting and cash management procedures.
- Internal Controls: Establish and execute internal controls over company accounting and financial procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
- Financial Planning: Negotiate credit and vendor agreements, review all financial contracts and financing agreements, and provide accurate and comprehensive financial information to the Directors for long-term financial strategizing.
- Compliance: Manage submissions of EMP201s, VAT201s, and IRP5/EMP201, manage VAT Audits, EMP Audits, and liaise with Accountants to ensure Income Tax Audits are attended to in a timely manner.
- Fiduciary: Maintain a duty of loyalty to claim the interest of the companies before your own or Management interests, report possible/suspected and actual misuse of company funds, communicate financial policies and procedures across the companies, and ensure continuous learning to stay on top of new financial and regulatory developments.
- Financial Audits: Conduct full financial audit functions, from start to finish, liaise with company Auditors, and submit requested documentation.
- Administration: Manage Finance Clerk, oversee monthly and weekly payroll, manage IT Service Provider, ensure smooth running and updating of all IT-related issues, manage and keep IT Manual up to date, oversee and monitor SOEs and Zanogen Website, and manage insurance claims from start to finish.
Requirements:
- B Com Accounting / Financial Management or Similar
- CA (SA) Professional membership is highly advantageous
- 5+ years of experience as a financial manager
- Solid Knowledge of Reporting Standards
- Payroll
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar
- Experience with Sequel Server
- Clear ITC and Criminal Record
