Job OverviewOur luxury game lodge provides guests with a tranquil and unforgettable African experience. As a Camp Manager and Guide/Ops Manager couple, you will be responsible for overseeing all lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance. You will also manage a team of lodge staff, ensuring smooth coordination and high standards of service.

Responsibilities:
  • Camp Manager:
    • Oversee all aspects of lodge operations, guaranteeing exceptional guest experiences.
    • Manage a team of skilled staff, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
    • Ensure the lodge meets health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
    • Assist with marketing, guest relations, and event planning as required, driving business growth and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Guide/Ops Manager:
    • Lead and manage game drives and bush walks, prioritizing guest safety and enjoyment.
    • Supervise and train guides to maintain the highest level of professional conduct and expertise, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
    • Manage safari vehicle maintenance, equipment, and logistics, guaranteeing efficient operations.
    • Curate customized safari itineraries and offer interpretative services to guests, providing valuable insights into the natural world.
Requirements:
  • Camp Manager:
    • Proven experience in luxury lodge or hotel management, preferably within a high-end safari environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
    • Experience in managing a team and overseeing operations, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Knowledge of hospitality best practices and guest service excellence, ensuring exceptional experiences for all guests.
    • Ability to work in a remote, self-sufficient environment, adapting to changing situations with ease.
  • Guide/Ops Manager:
    • Professional FGASA NQF 4 qualification or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in wildlife conservation and management.
    • Extensive experience as a safari guide, with a deep knowledge of wildlife, conservation, and safety procedures.
    • Previous experience managing a guiding team or safari operations, with a proven track record of success.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems efficiently, adapting to changing situations with ease.
