Network Recruitment is seeking a skilled Strategic Investment Expert to join our team in Cape Town.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves spearheading the implementation of the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) framework across Group subsidiaries, working closely with investment committees to deliver high-quality results.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in investment reporting and back-office functions, as well as excellent analytical skills to evaluate new investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead SAA Implementation: Lead the implementation of the SAA framework across Group subsidiaries, ensuring seamless integration and effective management of assets.
  • Investment Mandate Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and update investment mandates, identifying impactful strategies and managing risk limits.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct thorough analysis of investment performance, establish benchmarks, set targets, and manage risk limits to ensure optimal returns.
  • Analytics and Due Diligence: Provide in-depth analytics to evaluate new investment opportunities, conduct market surveillance locally, regionally, and globally, and oversee asset manager due diligence, selection, and ongoing monitoring.
Requirements
  • Advanced Qualifications: Advanced qualifications such as Actuary, CA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant postgraduate degrees.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment reporting and management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical background in investment reporting and back-office functions.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across complex organizational structures.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in fund or portfolio management, particularly within a fund-of-funds setting, is advantageous.
