Job Title: Security Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team at KMCK Talent Sourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the security team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the National Key Point Act and the Critical Infrastructure Protection Act
- Investigate and complete incident reports
- Manage the compliance of security personnel with NKP annual training requirements
- Ensure that deployed officers complete the required WAG 1 applications and submit to NKP for authorization
- Ensure that employees complete necessary CRC vetting
- Ensure that all employees and management required to be vetted by the State Security Agency complete the necessary Z204 forms
- Team member of the Security Risk, Threat, and Vulnerability (SRTV) assessment
- Conduct regular assessments of Security team performance
- Manage all Firearms allocated to the facility in accordance with the Firearms Control Act (FCA)
- Manage employees' competencies, including developing and maintaining a database of competency expiry dates
- Ensure that all staff commence renewal process at least 120 days prior to expiry
- Ensure SSP employees are compliant with Reg 21 training requirement
- Manage all Firearms of the facility in terms of Legal requirements, including registration, regular audits, licensing requirements, and daily allocation to employees on site
- Ensure ALL posts have an armed officer allocated
- Responsible for Service Level Agreement compliance of the facility, including managing the deployment to the NKP and managing all Human Resource and Industrial Relations matters on staff deployed to the facility
- Manage daily audits and inspections, including developing and maintaining a per shift check sheet
- Manage the SMP (pipeline) officers deployed, including ensuring daily inspection of officers and assets is conducted and ensuring officer supply a daily activity report
- Management of Ad Hoc Service requests, including ensuring that Site Operating Procedures are trained to the officers allocated to the ad-hoc project
Requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo polygraph test
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record
- Own reliable transport and drivers license code 8
- PSIRA Registered Grade A
- Firearm Competence (Handgun & Shotgun)
- Management experience (at least 3 years)
- Computer literacy (Essential)
- Formal Managerial training certification would be advantageous
- Understanding in the following Legal Aspects & Principles: PSIRA Private Security Industry Regulatory Act, BCEA SD6 Basic Conditions of Employment Act - Sectoral Determination 6, NKP National Key Point Act, FCA Firearms Control Act
