About the Position

We're recruiting an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner to support our Johannesburg-based road operations team. As an operational ECP, you'll be responsible for attending medical emergencies, conducting ALS transfers, and providing vital care in transit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls
  • Handle ALS/intensive care inter-facility transfers
  • Conduct patient assessments, provide emergency treatment, and monitor preliminary diagnoses
  • Communicate effectively with clients, patients, and stakeholders
  • Oversee on-duty tasks as a crew senior, adhering to prescribed standards and company procedures

Essential Skills

  • Intrinsically motivated
  • Patient-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • B.Tech EMC/B.EMC/B.Hsc EMC
  • Current ACLS/ITLS/PALS certifications (preferred)
  • CPG certifications up to date (essential)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Active registration with the HPCSA as an ECP
  • Driver's license with valid professional driving permit (PrDP - passenger)
  • CPD compliant and in good standing with the HPCSA
