Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Staff Unlimited Recruitment Pty Ltd T/A MPC Recruitment Group EC. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Safe and Quality Care: Provide safe, quality nursing care to patients in accordance with the scope of practice and established protocols.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Assess, observe, and monitor patient health and behavior, providing information to the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Supportive Environment: Create a safe and supportive physical and psychological environment for patients, promoting their overall well-being.
- Medication Management: Educate patients on the importance of medication adherence and manage medication-related issues.
- Therapy Support: Support patients in processing therapy interventions and facilitate their compliance with therapy activities.
- Mental Health Act Awareness: Be aware of the Mental Healthcare Act No. 17 of 2002 and its implications for patient care.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians to achieve consistently good outcomes for patients.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science with Psychiatry would be advantageous.
- Registration: Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Experience: Experience within a mental health environment, working with mental health patients and conditions, and knowledge of substance use disorders.
