Our national client in the Production, Warehousing and Transportation industry requires your experience and qualifications as a **Load Controller** for one of the Bellville South operations in Cape Town.

**No. Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)**

1 Team Management

2 Ensure the safe loading/placement of material on trucks.

3 Capture (photos) evidence of loads.

4 Ensure the load plans are confirmed and loads are pre-picked.

5 Ensure the correct stock are loaded and in accordance with ARDAGH and Client standards.

6 Comply with Safety Standards and Procedures.

**JOB SUMMARY**

As the Load Controller your primary responsibility is to ensure that trucks are loaded/ offloaded and dispatched/ received effectively, efficiently, safely and in line with Ardagh and Westside requirements and ensure that stock dispatched and or received conforms to the BMWR.

Your Job description is not limited to the responsibilities below and you will be required to perform other reasonable tasks and assume other reasonable responsibilities in line with your position.

**MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS**

1. The employee will ensure effective and accurate management of the dispatch process within the warehouse to ensure day-to-day operational activities are carried out.

2. Ensure all resources are available and in working condition (workforce, equipment, etc.)

3. Ensure competency and relevant licenses of all staff placed under you.

4. Conduct daily safety meetings (Toolbox Talks) and Complete Manual Attendance Register at the start and end of shift.

5. Ensure that the toolbox talk attendance and Manual Attendance Register is handed in to Safety and or HR department before the end of your shift.

6. Ensure all staff are equipped with the correct PPE at the beginning of the shift.

7. Ensure scanners are in working order and issued to forklift drivers as per ‘scanner control form’.

8. On truck arrival, ensure that the vehicles are inspected, and decks are clean.

9. Ensure the safe loading/placement of material on trucks.

11. Ensure TTAT’s are met

12. Ensure efficient management of all bays and all teams are at the loading bays

13. Ensure effective planning regarding team breaks, to ensure no standing time occurs when there are trucks on loading bays.

14. Ensure driver sign in sheet has been signed in and out by the driver.

15. Complete relevant documentation and capture (photos) evidence of load.

16. On loading completion, ensure retrieval of all required documentation.

17. Monitor and maintain all quality related stock ensuring that it is not picked and dispatched to customers.

18. Forklift audits - Monthly reports.

19. All documentation generated needs to be checked and corrected before being given to the relevant persons.

20. All Incidents are immediately reported to the HSE Manager.

21. Ensure equipment breakdowns are immediately reported to the Dispatch Manager.

22. Assist with stock counts as and when required to do so by Management.

23. It is your responsibility to ensure a proper handover is conducted with the next Load Controller before clocking out from your shift.

24. Ensure all paperwork is maintained and filed accordingly.

25. Create and maintain various reports in line with KPI and contractual obligations.

26. Ensure a safe working environment.

27. Work hand in hand with the HR department in reporting and managing staff and displinary issues.

28. Work closely with SHEQ Management on all relevant stacking requirements and execution of such.

29. Responsible for maintaining a working and practical housekeeping warehouse, in line with SHEQ policies and procedures.

30. To create an efficient working environment through clear communication.

31. Adherence to tasks not stipulated in job profile i.e., audit compliance, ad hoc duties due to operational requirements.

**Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience**:

- Essential - Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Certificate (NQF 5) in Warehousing Operations - Advantageous.
- Experience in CONSOL’s/ARDAGH systems and SAP WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Supervisory position.
- Own transport with a valid code 8 Drivers license or reliable transportation
- Proven work experience as a Load Controller, SAP Admin, or similar role.
