Bin Logistics, Cold Room

Our client is an internationally recognized grower, packer and exporter of citrus fruit and table grapes. Their farms and packhouses are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville.

The company has a vacancy for a bin logistics, cold room & dispatch coordinator at their citrus and table grape packhouse in Piketberg.

The position will be responsible for stock control of receiving and tipping of fruit as well as bin movement, managing fruit in degreening at citrus packhouse and cold rooms at table grape packhouse as well as dispatch. The position will report to the Packhouse Manager.

**Duties include**:

- Staff management (assistants, clerks, and forklift drivers)
- Full responsibility of cold room control and management
- **Citrus receiving**:

- Liaise with farms regarding bin movement
- Monitor incoming crates/bins
- Record all incoming product in bin stock report
- Prepare batches as per daily planning
- Waste fruit management
- **Citrus degreening**:

- Monitor degreening room controls
- Manage fruit in degreening room
- Hygiene of degreening rooms
- **Table grapes dispatch**:

- Manage cold rooms and dispatch
- Oversee the pallet weight to ensure adherence to company standards
- Inspection of trucks before loading
- Supervise and oversee the correct loading of pallets
- Recording all dispatch data
- Ensure pallet info correctness before loading
- Ensure only authorized cargo are loaded into containers and trailers
