Draughtsman Cad Operator

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**


**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **CAD Operation / Design**
- Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components, devices electrical devices and installations
- Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
- Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
- Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision
- Review information for completeness and accuracy
- Transform AUTOCAD drawings into 3D drawings (if required)
- Electrical layouts
- Checks plans
- Sleeve and cable tray reticulation layouts
- Raised access floor and ceiling layouts
- Server Room and Data Centre layouts
- Cabling and connectivity layouts
- Updating of layouts as per site installation
- Design and installation of copper and fibre infrastructure
- Assist with creating a bill of quantities
- When required, goes to site to verify measurements
- **Test Results**
- Downloading of Copper and Fibre test results
- **Labelling**
- Engraving and wrap around labels
- Programmes and prints labels
- **Administration**
- Incorporates data and specifications sheets into drawings
- Accurately complete paperwork for project tracking costs
- Classify and file drawings
- Management of databases
- Compiling of handover documentation
- Ordering of engraving materials
- Ordering of drawing office supplies
- **Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Responsibilities**
- Report any deviations that could lead to an accident
- Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards
- Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift
- Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure
- Look after your own safety and that of other employees
- Ensure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.
- Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.
- Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.
- Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services
- **Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior**

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- MDOP Draughting Certificate
- AutoCAD Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Draughting
- Thorough knowledge of Autocad, Corel Draw, MS Office, Gravo Graphics, Easy Mark, Linkware, Exfor and Relux Lighting
- Design schematic plans
- In-depth knowledge of floor plans and network typologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
