**Position Overview**:
The CCTV Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems within an organization. This role involves managing a team of CCTV operators, ensuring the effective functioning of the CCTV infrastructure, and coordinating with other departments to maintain a secure and safe environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Management:

- Lead and manage a team of CCTV operators, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Train new operators on CCTV system operations, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Monitoring and Surveillance:

- Monitor live CCTV feeds and recorded footage to identify and respond to security incidents, violations, or suspicious activities promptly.
- Coordinate with security personnel and other relevant departments to ensure appropriate actions are taken based on surveillance findings.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and any evidence gathered for potential investigations.

Security Policies and procedures:

- Develop and enforce CCTV system policies, protocols, and operating procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational standards.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to CCTV surveillance and security measures.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of CCTV systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security enhancements.

Collaborative Communication:

- Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other external stakeholders as required for incident reporting, evidence sharing, and coordination.
- Provide regular reports, statistics, and updates to management regarding the performance and effectiveness of the CCTV system

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or surveillance-related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining CCTV systems, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and privacy considerations related to CCTV surveillance.( POPI Act)
- Excellent observation and analytical skills to detect and assess security threats or irregularities.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on collaboration and employee development.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in monitoring rooms for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
