We are looking for a Head of Operations to join the PKF network, working on joint initiatives and administrative and operational functions. If you are tech-savvy with excellent leadership and communication skills, a high focus on quality, an understanding of the accounting profession and an appreciation of the network environment, we would like to meet you.

**Skills and Qualifications**

- Highly motivated and able to engage with members of the network at all levels

**Strategy and Governance**
- Maintain, with oversight from EXCO appropriate governance structures within PKF SA.
- Remain abreast of and consider developments in the profession, in areas of risk, professional standards and business development, and determine impact on firms and communicating these through to EXCO..
- With EXCO assist firms utilize the network to its full advantage in achieving their Firm's Strategy, through identifying overlaps and the potential for national initiatives and activities and work with firms to give effect to national initiative activities. Drive strategic objectives and initiatives, delivering on agreed workplans.
- Arrange and attend PKF SA Board meetings, including agenda and content preparation, keeping of minutes and recording of decisions in the National Action List.
- Attendance at all PKFSA Committees and Groups including;- Ensuring that these committees meet regularly (in line with their TOR's).
- Ensuring that there is an appropriate focus within each committee or group.
- Monitoring the progress of decisions taken by these committees and raising any continued non-performance with the board.
- Acting as liaison between the different committees & groups and EXCO.
- These currently include: Risk and Compliance, Technical and Learning and Development.

**PKFSA Finances**
- Monitor financial information as submitted by firms in the Network, ensure all firms are in sound financial position and when this is not the case raising this to EXCO and the Board
- Assist EXCO in preparing an annual budget for PKF SA, for approval by the Board.
- Take responsibility for PKFSA's financial information including monitoring of monthly management accounts against budgets and reporting directly to EXCO.

**PKFSA Team**
- Operationally manage the PKFSA national team, which currently includes dedicated resources in Accounting, Assurance, Risk and Compliance, and Learning and Development including:
- Liaising with all PKFSA employees, regarding HR issues including productivity and workloads.
- Take responsibility for the development of annual workplans in each of the PKF SA departments, ensuring that these cover the core services delivered by PKF SA. Monitoring and ensuring the completion of these annual workplans.

**PKFSA Reputation & Brand**
- Ensuring healthy working relationships are maintained with the IRBA, SAICA and other relevant regulatory or professional bodies.
- Monitor all press releases where required, to protect the brand and ensure professionalism is upheld at all times.
- Contribute content, including thought leadership, for use by PKF Marketing.

**PKFSA Network**
- Assist EXCO in identifying new member firms who could contribute to the network objectives, increase IP and enhance standards, quality & service offering.
- Assist EXCO and the Board for new member firm recruitment and acceptance, including due diligence
- Being available to provide support to individual member firms on tendering and proposals, should they request this.
- Manage relationships between member firms, or between member firms and the network.
- Enforce compliance with Network Membership requirements, standard operating procedures and PKF brand requirements.
- Organisation of Partners and Managers conferences, as to venues, budgets, content, travel & billing procedures.

**PKFI Network**
- Maintain an awareness of what is happening at a PKFI level, what projects and initiatives are on the go and bring to the attention of the PKFSA Network.
- Act as PKFSA International Liaison contact to ensure that all queries from Africa and abroad are professionally and timeously handled.
