**Position Overview**:
As a Platform Architect, you will play a critical role in defining the architectural vision and strategy for our payment platform. You will collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams to map out the platform's structure, identify technology requirements, and develop scalable and efficient solutions. Your expertise in cloud environments, including Google Cloud and other cloud technologies, as well as.NET experience, will be essential in designing and implementing a robust and resilient platform. You will work alongside the development team, guiding and mentoring them to ensure the successful implementation of the architectural vision.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the CTO to define the architectural vision and strategy for our payment platform.
- Design and develop the platform's architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability, leveraging.NET technologies.
- Map out the platform's structure, including components, modules, and integrations.
- Identify technology requirements and select appropriate cloud technologies, including Google Cloud and others, to support the platform.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper implementation of the architecture using.NET technologies.
- Mentor and guide the development team in following architectural guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align platform architecture with business requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the platform's architecture and propose appropriate solutions.
- Monitor and optimise the platform's performance, security, and scalability.
- Continuously improve the development processes and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in architecture design and development, preferably in the FinTech or payments industry.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments, with expertise in Google Cloud and other cloud technologies.
- Solid understanding of architectural patterns, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with native cloud technologies and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in designing scalable and resilient architectures that can handle high traffic and ensure high availability using.NET.
- Experience with API design and implementation, including RESTful and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of security best practices and protocols in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical challenges.
- Ability to mentor and guide development teams in implementing architectural guidelines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification or training in cloud technologies (e.g., Google Cloud certifications).
- Experience with other cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of payment processing concepts and industry standards (e.g., ISO 8583).
- Understanding of data modelling and database technologies.
