The restaurant maintenance person is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the restaurant's physical facilities and equipment.

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a positive dining experience for customers and a safe working environment for staff.

Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment, fixtures, and facilities to identify and address any issues promptly.

Respond to maintenance requests from restaurant staff in a timely manner.

Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialised repairs or maintenance tasks. Get three quotations and vet them.

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by implementing proper maintenance procedures.

Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for special events or functions.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of outdoor areas such as parking lots and patio spaces.

Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenses.

Qualifications:
To carry out above mentioned tasks.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and potentially manage staff, and prioritise tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and willingness to adhere to them at all times.

Requirements: Own vehicle and general tools.
