To drive and work towards the strategic delivery of access to the Global Equities Platform, within the spectrum of the

broader Markets business, to key decision makers at clients both in South Africa and Internationally. The Equity Sales

role is a key role in the business and is expected to act as the key client interface, coordinator and access point. The

Equity Sales person is expected to leverage, collect and interpret all relevant firm wide content as part of their daily

function.

**Job Description**:
Accountability: Provide Strategic Leadership
- Stay abreast of all firm-wide product so as to ensure the Global Franchise is optimally leveraged into the designated client base.
- Develop and measure performance on tactical client plans and scoreboards and take corrective actions where required
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments at key clients and role players, and ensure that the Equities and Markets businesses are updated on changes and well positioned to provide accurate and competitive services.
- Stay abreast of market-developments at all levels so as to ensure clients are provided with insightful, accurate and pro-active investment advice.
- Contribute to development and extension of cross product and cross asset class expertise and knowledge.
- Contribute and own relevant aspects of the development and tracking of tactical client plans and scoreboards and take corrective actions where required.
- Scan the external market to understand future challenges and adapt service style and approach to ensure Sales gets ranked with clients and that the internal Equities and Markets teams have all the information required to be positioned to deal with multiple and often contradicting scenarios across the African Continent.
- Contribute to team forums with the aim of improving the Equities product through constructive engagement on all key elements of a Top Rated product.

Accountability: Drive Business Performance
- Implement client performance controls to proactively measure achievement against strategic targets and help management address changes or non-performance.
- Provide ongoing advice and direction to the operational environments supporting this role in terms of the areas of focus, opportunities, key targets and relative policies, legislative and regulatory environments.
- Actively participate in all internal and external client reviews from a service perspective provided by areas under responsibility through a process of formalised service review (including questionnaires, production reporting, loss event reporting, etc).
- Continuously monitor own service levels and implement strategic measures to improve customer satisfaction and overall profitability.
- Represent Equity sales and participate and contribute to industry and Bank wide forums and governance structures as required or directed by Head of Sales
- Support IB and Syndicate on the successful conclusion of Primary and Secondary ECM and other IB transactions.

Education and Experience Required
- Applicable BSC/BCom/BA degree with relevant port graduate qualifications V
- CA/Investment Management/Maths Honours preferred
- CFA charterholder
- Requisite Regulatory certifications
- (3-5) years experience in the Financial Markets Research, Sales or Trading
