As the Administrative support to the Company Secretary, you must have a solid knowledge of legal terminology and rules of legal procedure. Excellent organisational skills are a must, as it is likely you will be managing voluminous files. Strong research and writing skills are also necessary for drafting correspondence and other documents.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

- BCom Law Degree or relevant Legal Diploma, Paralegal Studies or Certification of Relevant Courses
- A Legal Qualification would be advantageous
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar position as a legal secretary/paralegal or as an administrative assistant preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook.
- Understanding of Basic Fundamental Legal Concepts

Key Result Areas:
The preparation, proof-reading and formatting of legal documentation before final execution and sign-off, which includes but is not limited to:

- Memorandum of Incorporations, Shareholders Agreements, Sale of Shares Agreements, Sale of Business Agreements, Agreements of Loan, Consultancy Agreements, NDA Agreements, AOD Agreements, Settlement Agreements, Lease Agreements pertaining to immovable property and/or general assets, Service Level Agreements, secretarial documentation such as directors and shareholders resolutions and minutes of meetings and any such other agreement which may need to be prepared to execute the specific needs of the relevant instruction
- Legal Opinions and Legal Compliance
- Review invoices for legal services executed by the Group Legal Advisor and assist the finance division within The Group with any queries related therein.
- Obtaining relevant information from Clients / Divisions or other companies within the Group to assist the Group Legal Advisor to execute legal functions.
- Consulting with various divisions within The Group and other companies within the wider Group to obtain the required information which is necessary to complete the new and/or change in divisional notifications.
- Identify, escalate and deliver continuous business process improvements within your role that improves operational execution.
- Deliver adherence to HR policies and procedures that are aligned with corporate governance.
