Inventory Controller - Germiston - Job ID 3601

Our client provides a wide range of products and services to the steel industry in South Africa from their modern and comprehensive steel service centres and specialty steel divisions.

The Inventory Controller co-ordinates and controls administrative functionality within the division, including facilitating and supporting the recording, updating, circulation of information from/to the regions with regards to various activities.

**Position details**:
Type: Permanent

Reports to: Operations Manager

Primary purpose: Co-ordinates and controls administrative functionality within the division, including facilitating and supporting the recording, updating, circulation of information from/to the regions with regards to various activities.

Key performance areas (duties & responsibilities):
Perform general administration functions and provide support on matters concerning administrative functions

Responsible for the conducting and reconciling of stock takes and stock take reports

Responsible for investigating and reconciling any and all stock queries that might arise on a daily basis

Responsible for ensuring that all labelling on bundles are always correct

Responsible for ensuring that GRN stock is actioned and moved into the correct localities, and the system is up to date

Responsible for MIGO movements on stock where required

Responsible for stock reporting that might be added other than stock take reports - Housekeeping

Responsible for all Mill Claims

Responsible for investigating all Production Variances

Training and administration on Outworks process as well understanding receipting and admin thereof

Provide strategic input and provision of an administration and support function to specific departments

Coordinate specific projects within the administration department (Stock Take, CI etc.)

Responsible for compilation of reports pertaining to administration functions

Comply with lawful and reasonable requests/instructions from manager

Adheres to departmental policies and procedures

Ensure compliance to SHEQ, policies, procedures and standards

Ensure all returned stock is processed (Credit Notes/Mill claims raised)

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Academic qualifications:
Must have a Matric / Grade 12 qualification

Must have a tertiary qualification in related studies

**Experience**:
Previous Administration experience essential in terms of KPA’s

SAP experience will be an advantage

Analysing information

Problem solving, audits, tracking and reporting

Working with numbers and numerical/mathematical concepts

Understanding and knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office) essential

Demonstrate ability in people, communication and organisational skills

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Must be figure orientated

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills

Must be meticulous and accurate

Methodical and well organized with the ability to maintain accurate records

Must be a proficient user of Microsoft word, Power point, Microsoft Excel, electronic mail dairy system
