A dynamic, vibrant and growing IT company is looking for an IT Support Technician who is motivated, driven, and passionate about technology and innovation. We are looking for someone who will actively participate and contribute to help improve the way we provide excellence in customer services.

**JOB PURPOSE**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**
- Day to Day support on the service desk (remote)
- Onsite Desktop, Network and Server Support
- Backup Management
- Anti-Spam system Support
- Internet, security and firewall support
- New system installations & upgrades (desktop, network, server)

**UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOLLOWING**
- Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems: Windows 7 and up
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012 and 2016
- Hypervisors: Microsoft Hyper-V
- Windows Server Roles:

- Active Directory
- Group Polices
- DNS
- DHCP
- Desktop Hardware and Software rebuilds and installations
- Microsoft Exchange or Office 365
- ADSL Routers
- Firewalls
- Wireless

**BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOLLOWING**
- Microsoft RDS or Terminal Server
- Overall Networking

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12
- Minimum A+ N+ or similar preferable
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA and or MCSE) an advantage (even if currently busy with studies)
- Need to have some personal experience in IT environment and willing to learn from our junior and senior technicians.
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport essential

**KEY COMPETENCIES FOR THE ROLE HOLDER**:

- After Hours availability
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide recommendations for resolving technical issues
- Overtime and standby will be required on occasions
- Hands on’ approach and a willingness to learn is a must
- Commitment to future job relevant certifications essential
- Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable interfacing with all levels of company
- Excellent communication in English, both verbal and written
- Well presented
