Assistant Banqueting Manager

Luxury 5* Hotel in Umhlanga is looking for an Assistant Banqueting Manager to assist the Banqueting Manager to lead and organize the Banqueting Service Team, to set and maintain standards and to strive to always keep improving standards whilst maintaining budget and gross profit.
**Responsibilities**:
- Make regular visits to all Banqueting functions and ensure you lead from the front to evaluate quality of product and be regular contact with guests, check customer’s satisfaction, communicating relevant points to HODs.
- To ensure that daily operational setups, procedure, and standards are met as per the daily banqueting checklist.
- To plan in advance that all banqueting wedding functions are prepared for and that all the information regarding function sheets are correct.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Banqueting department at a supervisory or junior management level
- Ability to effectively listen and verbally communicate in English with all levels of staff and management.
- Proficiency in computer software programs such as Excel and Word preferred.
- Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management would be an advantage.
- Experience within a 4- or 5-star property in the Banqueting department
- Ability to make decisions and work independently.
- Establish and maintain happy, healthy, and stable working relations with all staff and management.
