Do you want to work for the coolest and fastest-growing international fitness brand in SA and earn while you play? We are looking for a superhero to be appointed as a **Fitness Manager** at our exclusive gym situated in **Menlyn, Gauteng**.

All applicants require a recognized fitness qualification. Experience and qualifications in functional fitness, strength and conditioning, combat sports, CrossFit and an insatiable passion for all things fitness are favorable.

Key Performance Indicators:
**OPERATIONS**: _Comply with current Human Resources, Health and Safety and Club Operations procedures. Ensure the safe effective operation of your department_
- Complete a minimum of one self-assessment per month across all areas within your department. Take action to improve areas identified as needing focus.
- Conduct a weekly meeting with your Direct Reports to brief them on any updates and to review Month to Date Performance.
- Carry out the Manager on Duty role and deliver compulsory health and safety training to your team. Ensure all risks are dealt with immediately without placing Ignite Fitness, its staff, members or business partners at any risk.
- Always provide adequate health and safety cover by ensuring compliance of all independent contractors and fitness professionals in the following key areas: CPR / Updated qualifications / Professional Indemnity / REPSSA registration / Continuous Education Workshops
- Conduct and review member surveys, taking steps to improve performance of all areas as detailed in the questions.
- Deliver all operational reporting and other deadlines as directed by your line managers.
- Ensure that relevant knowledge is gained across the team, to access, implement and manage any product initiative launched.

**TEAM MANAGEMENT**:_Demonstrate commitment to the continuous personal and professional development of yourself, the team, and your colleagues. Deliver regular and effective communication to enhance the performance of the team._
- Motivate the team to deliver exceptional Member Service through the provision of: Team training / Monthly observation / Coaching and feedback / Reward and recognition incentives and practices
- Continually review success in this area and foster this culture throughout the Club.
- Ensure all new starters are welcomed by the team, have a Personal File set up and have completed the club induction/on-boarding process.
- Monitor progress and compliance with the line manager, ensuring that the Induction and Learning and Development Plan is followed, according to the role.
- Engage in effective and professional communication with Staff, Club Management, colleagues, and Head Office: Coordinate and lead Fitness team meetings to communicate relevant initiatives, reports, and issues / Circulate relevant memos, statements, reports, and notices and ensure understanding.
- Conduct performance management meetings with your direct reports, in line with the Ignite Fitness Performance Management System, including: Annual Evaluations / Monthly KPI reviews and MBOs / Weekly documented observation, coaching and feedback and the reviewing of the instructors and coaches.
- Ensure that each independent contractor is issued with a contract and managed according to terms and conditions
- Conduct monthly training will all departments on the product offering to create alignment and provide feedback on the department’s hits and misses.

**SERVICE**:_Deliver service according to Ignite Fitness standards and procedure._
- Drive a culture within your team that recognizes all member contact as an opportunity to promote or sell products and services, and to improve member engagement and attendance.
- Ensure your personal presentation, and that of your team is in line with Ignite Fitness Brand and uniform standards policy.
- Professionally represent and promote Ignite Fitness as a Brand Ambassador through the way you behave and act, both at the club, and at any of the Ignite Fitness premises.
- Ensure that all areas of the club are well presented and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.
- Manage group exercise schedule to ensure 100% compliance with all scheduled classes according to class descriptions and achieve group exercise participation standards.
- Manage all forms of communication to members to ensure availability of group exercise schedules, current events, and promotions.
- Manage member induction process to include the following points: On-line booking and coach availability / Professional offering of the induction session / Completed induction targets achieved
- Report operational breakdowns and service issues promptly whilst keeping members informed of the progress and expected ‘back in action date’, using the agreed template, to be in line with Brand Standards.
