Our hotel in Sea Point is seeking experienced Waiting Staff for the hotel's restaurant.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Provide professional and discerning waiter service
- Set up of restaurant including place settings, buffet service gear, waiter stations, ensure all surfaces are clean
- Break down and deep cleaning of all areas of the restaurant and bar after service
- Preparation of mise en place; napkin folds, polished cutlery, polished glassware, salt and pepper cellars replenished, flowers where appropriate are fresh, crockery is clean
- Presentation of menus with introduction of offering, highlight exceptional dishes including preparation methods, specials of the day
- Taking accurate orders from guests and ensure timely delivery thereof
- Conduct business in a professional manner
- Deal with complaints, apologize with sincerity, follow through on action taken, obtain feedback and advise management
- Generate, present and receipt bill
- Assist in the counting of operating stocks

Minimum criteria:

- Grade 12 Certificate
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to converse in English
- Ability to operate a computer
- Ability to do physical dexterous tasks
- Physically fit to stand on feet for long periods
- Phenomenal attitude at zest for life and growth
