Our client is urgently in need of a Cold Store Manager to join their team.

The position will require an individual with a strong will and work ethic to complete the full spectrum of the cold storage-, Financial-, and daily support functions. This position will require the efficient management of both the operational and administrational functions to in insure the most sufficient utilisation of manpower, equipment and relevant resources. This will further include the managing of customer product storing activities, managing of site maintenance in accordance with health and safety codes. As a management role the position will require an individual who is able to aid, support and guide both their staff and management.

**Main Duties**:

- Execution of cold store trading activities.
- Maintaining of systems and required administration activities.
- Managing the daily operations of picking, storing, distribution and dispatch activities of the cold store.
- Supervising maintenance activities and housekeeping of site.
- Maintaining health and safety programs in accordance with codes.
- Implementation and upholding of procedures.
- Reporting and communication to upper management of daily and monthly activities.
- Preparing Budgets.
- Identifying and soliciting new business.
- Maintaining a strong and professional relationship with current customers.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Gr 12 essential. Preferably a tertiary qualification in warehouse management or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 6 years on operational warehouse/cold store experience with 5 years at a managerial level.
- Ability to read and understand financial statements.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work within set out budget constraints.
- Computer literate.
- Own reliable transport.
- Technical Knowledge and understanding of Cold Store plant equipment and machinery.
