The Multimedia Editor supports and enables the best practice use of audio, video and other multi-modal digital assets for online learning. This involves production support providing expert content editing and, on occasion, the development and maintenance of multimedia templates for internal use.

In addition to the core functions of producing and editing, this role has the scope to provide high-level advice and support to learning designers and/or academics on the pedagogical use of digital assets. Working closely with Multimedia Specialists, the role contributes to and upholds standards of quality that reflect partner our expectations and current industry norms.

Holding a specialist technical position within the Learning Design team, The Multimedia Editor is relied upon to provide strong multimedia experience to improve the student experience. To successfully fulfil the role, advanced teamworking and outstanding communication skills are essential to build trust with OES staff.

**Responsibilities**

The key contribution of the Multimedia Editor is to support the creation of audio, video and media assets for online learning. Specifically, this role is responsible for:

- Post-production, editing and embedding student-centred digital learning resources for online study, across multiple brand partnerships. This includes, but is not limited to, videos and podcasts and, where there is interest and experience, motion graphics.
- Supporting Multimedia Specialists in planning, coordinating and communicating with academics and voice talent as requested.
- Providing specialist support to Digital Learning Specialists in the post
- production of quality multimedia learning materials, in conjunction with Multimedia Specialists as requested or as appropriate to projects.
- Working with Learning Design leadership to audit and assess all internally built OES audio and video content to ensure that course materials are on brand, on style, and reflect the quality standards established for the Learning Design team.
- Working with Multimedia Specialists to embed guidelines, processes, and training resources that enable the design and development of media-rich learning experiences.
- Working with all internal OES staff and critical partners to develop an ongoing enthusiasm for multimedia experiences in learning design work.

**Requirements**:

- Experience producing online audio and video content in commercial, industry, or academic environments, ideally with a focus on learner-centered, flexible education.
- Demonstrable competency with OES preferred products and technologies (including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite). Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud to produce, collaborate, review, and share content with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to pursue innovative approaches to multimedia content development and editing, without sacrificing speed or scale.
- Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- An appropriate qualification in multimedia design and production (experience in educational environments and familiarity with learning management systems would be highly regarded).
- Motivation and confidence to help strengthen our multimedia capability and clearly communicate the standards expected of OES products.
