Our client, one of the biggest banks in South Africa who is a firm believer in technical innovation and leading-edge financial solutions is urgently looking for a Senior Manager: Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) to define and implement the risk reporting and external disclosure process and narrative aligned to the group's sustainability ambitions.

Champion the integration of Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) risk reporting principles into risk management practices and manage the associated regulator relationship. Direct and monitor the quality of all risk management internal and external reports to ensure adequate practices for timely, complete and accurate aggregation of risk exposures.

**In order to be considered the following is required**:

- Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce | Finance and Accounting | Risk Management
- 8-10 years’ experience with end-to-end experience of the entire Risk Management value chain. Practical working experience as a manager in risk management. Practical experience of writing internal risk reports and compiling content for external disclosure as per Basel principles. Working experience implementing BCBS 230 principles in a financial services institution

**Responsibilities**:

- Compile Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) compliance status reports and compile the annual compliance self-assessment report to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and enable informed decision making
- Define policies, processes, and standards documentation to increase the quality of risk reporting across the bank and ensure adequate practices for timely, complete, and accurate aggregation of risk exposures
- Define, develop, implement and maintain the service operating model and associated costs for group risk reporting and Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR)
- Direct the efforts, support and monitor risk heads charged with the responsibility of ensuring their area remain compliant to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) BCBS 239 principles
- Empower and develop direct reports, colleagues and business partners in order to establish a high performance culture within the group risk reporting function
- Escalate and motivate allocation and focus of necessary resources to the remediation activities required to remain compliant to BCBS 293 principles and avoid regulatory fines
- Establish, implement, monitor and review service level agreements (SLAs) with all technology service providers as it relates to Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting to ensure high quality service and adherence to the SLAs
- Facilitate regulatory compliance and adhoc RDARR stress simulation tests to ensure adequate practices for timely, complete and accurate aggregation of risk exposures
- Guide and direct the group’s implementation of changes to risk disclosure requirements and risk data aggregation and reporting principles
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify monitoring and reporting of the compliance status of the group
- Identify opportunities to improve the technological tools used for RDARR governance, internal and external reporting (IBM BPM modules, MS PowerBI reports, WDesk, SharePoint) in order to align to world best practices and realise the digitisation aspirations of the bank
- Lead and drive ongoing training and awareness of RDARR requirements to ensure adequate, competent and informed resources across the bank
- Lead and drive the risk reporting and external disclosure process to ensure risk disclosure complies with all applicable standards, good practice and stakeholder requirements
- Lead the group risk reporting and RDARR Function within the bank to ensure adherence to the Basel III international regulatory framework for banks which aim to strengthen the regulation, supervision and risk management of banks across the world
- Lead the group risk reporting function according to leadership principles and values, including managing the employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit, performance management, training and development, discipline and grievance management, retention, reward and recognition and people administration to ensure a high-performance culture
- Lead, drive and manage all interactions and engagements will the regulators and country heads to improve the extent of combined assurance and reliance on risk function produced reports
- Monitor and control the development of training / guidance material on Reporting and RDARR to ensure it remains relevant and available to upskill stakeholders across the bank on their execution of aggregation and reporting requirements
- Monitor and control the risk reporting and external disclosure process to ensure that data used in reporting is produced in a process with effective quality controls
- Monitor and maintain SLAs with countries that consume RDARR governance tools and ensure appropriate recovery of costs by the group
