**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Performs complex level proactive (risk) reviews, quality assurance follow-ups, continuous monitoring projects and general quality assurance support to key stakeholders. Works involves leading and conducting financial, risk, product/specialised and compliance proactive and follow-up projects. Provides consultation to the organisation's Agents and Internal Departments during to the development and implementation of manual and IT/system controls.

Develop and maintain productive relations with agent companies and management by facilitating support and training of key staff members. Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgement

**Qualifications**:
Bachelors degree or recognised 3-year undergraduate qualification in Insurance/auditing/accountancy/business management.

**Required**:
Recognised accreditations in insurance, auditing, risk management and financial sector.
Or
Postgraduate qualification and/or a graduate degree in Business Administration, public administration, or a related field, or certification as a CIA, CPA, or CISA

**Experience**:
5 years of full-time experience in quality assurance, auditing, accounting, or risk management (all or a combination).
2 years experience as a senior or project leader.
Non-life insurance industry experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Organisaion's departments and agents**:
Provides input during the development of the quality assurance departments strategic plan.
Is actively involved during the development of the departments plan.
Is actively involved during the development of departments key performance indicators.
Provides input during the development of the departments budgets.
Is required to identify business risks that are related to their work.
Develops annual project plans and for tasks/areas that have been allocated to them.
Manage and ensure regular and monthly reports of projects under own supervision.
Develop, update, and submit for approval, QA procedures/process flows, and templates for tasks/areas that have been allocated to them.

**Technical Follow-up and Proactive Reviews**:
a) Validate, test the accuracy and completeness of the Underwriting Process by reviewing (but not limited to):
Recalculate the premium for accuracy.
Review the covers for insurability and compliance with the Sasria underwriting regulations.
Review the final policy schedule and/or coupon for accuracy and completeness.
All relevant endorsements and annexures forming part of the insurance contract are attached, distributed or communicated to policyholders.

b) Review the Policy and Coupon Administration Process for adequacy and effectiveness.

c) Review Compliance with the relevant laws and regulations by testing and correcting the following requirements:
Disclosure of sections that are covered by the organisation's policy.
Cost of cover.
Inclusion of the correct and complete disclosure information.
Distribution of the organisation's policy wordings.

d) Review the month end process (premium transfer to the organisation) for accuracy and completeness.

e) Review of administrative compliance with the organisation's regulations, which includes but not limited to:
Ensure that the agent has established a process to identify and report organisation's claims.
Ensure that the organisation's claims are reported on time in line with the organisation's Outsourcing Agreement and Regulations.
Data Submission
Ensure that the agent has a data effective data submission process.
Ensure that data is submitted on time with the month end payment and submission schedules.
Risk Management and Security.
Ensure that the agent has business continuity and/or disaster recovery plan.
Enquire and observe the agents data security plan and processes.
Enquire and observe the agents risk management process to confirm if the organisation's risks are considered.

f) Provide consultation and review feedback to the organisation's support department with regards to:
Shortcomings and required improvements on the organisation's Regulations.
Report inadequate process design (Organisation's Regulations and directives) to management.
Conduct follow-ups to ensure that management have reviewed the regulations or implemented the corrections on any directives that are issued to agent companies.

**Policy and Procedure development**:
***Provides input on the improvement of strategic audit plan and annual plan;
- Assists the manager with the research and benchmarking process of the quality assurance review approach and
- procedures with the view to improve same.
- Continuously review and revise the QA procedure manual.
- Represents the quality assurance department on:
- Company project teams;
- Internal company staff committee meetings (on request, i.e. Transformation committee and the Health and Safety committee meetings and so on );
- Company management meetings; and
- External assurance providers or organisations, as and
