**Minimum Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in logistics

5 - 10 years’ experience in logistics management within a relevant industry

2 years’ experience in freight forwarding and clearing

**Advantageous**

Honours in logistics

2 years’ experience in demand and supply planning

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Gives input into and implements International Logistics plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate Logistics strategy in order to support the achievement ofoverall business objectives

Performs demand planning and forecasting management in collaboration with Sales and Marketing to ensure optimal quality of service and working capital

Manages Inbound and Outbound Logistics, freight provider relationships, import processes and international consolidation

Drives key international logistics projects and initiates necessary changes in processes and systems

Develops and prepares procurement plans and spending plans relating to logistics expenditure and operational costs

Monitors and tracks the international logistics process and initiates necessary action with the various stakeholders

Responsible for forecasting by Stock Keeping Unit (SKU)

Management of processing of orders by market

Manages the production of products and/or stock levels

Manages the outbound process (includes containerisation, scheduling of vessel, movement of product to port)

Responsible for the in-market stock levels, in-market logistic processes and all relevant communication

Manages all operations related to logistics - KPI’s, inventory, supply chain, transport, integration of information and customer requirements

Provide in-market logistics support and manages the inbound team based at Imperial by working closely with the company inbound team

Monitors materials and warehouse to ensure optimum stock accuracy levels and process efficiency

Drives customer satisfaction through the on time and effective in-market clearance delivery of all orders

Come up with solutions to critical logistics problems in order to ensure contractual commitments are met and any operational impact is minimised

Undertakes any ad hoc projects, initiatives or tasks as directed by management

Responsible for monthly general market updates to OPSCO, EXCO and senior management teams

Responsible for professional and accurate presentation development

Manages business analysis, associated reports and income statements

Gives input into departmental budgets, controls expenditure and ensures the efficient use of resources and assets

Sets and controls the functional cost within allocated budget

Maintains relationships through frequent communication, across all levels with key Imperial staff, to ensure distribution and logistics are completed to the company standard

Develops and maintains good working relationships with external agencies and logistics service providers in order to support the smooth provision of logistics services across the organisation

Responsible for operational reviews with Suppliers (Imperial, manufacturers and shipping line)

Responsible for internal operational reviews (license markets, gm’s, legal, marketing and all other relevant stakeholders)

Responsible for external operational reviews (market supply chain teams)

Develops and reports on KPI’s and actively manages the performance and potential of their direct team, providing coaching, mentorship and leadership to support problem solving, assess productivity and recommend changes where required

Participates in recruitment, talent management and succession planning activities

Creates an engaged and motivated workforce by establishing an environment that fosters collaboration through effective communication, trust, enjoyment, wellbeing, learning and development

Deals with grievances and disciplinary issues and ensures their effective implementation and management in close conjunction with HR

Lead the department in such a manner as to foster innovation and technological excellence
