**We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Manager based in CFAO Holdings South Africa. This is a locally based permanent contract.**

**The Infrastructure Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of an organization’s IT infrastructure. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and personnel that form the backbone of the organization’s technology services. From network architecture to server management, the Infrastructure Manager oversees critical components that enable the delivery of customer-facing IT services.**

**Profil Request**:
**EXPERIENTIAL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- **Matric**:

- **Tertiary Qualification and/or relevant related qualification is essential.**:

- **At least 8 - 10 years relevant experience.**:

- **At least 5 - 8 years relevant experience in managing technical teams.**:

- **Extensive Network and IT infrastructure knowledge**:

- **Expert in Microsoft Infrastructure management**:

- **Extensive knowledge**:
**o Monitoring and Performance Tuning**

**o IT Service Desk Design / Implementation**

**o Security Best Practice**

**o Virtualization**

**o Endpoint Management**

**o Project management**

**o Storage and Backup**

**o Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity**

**o Cloud Technologies (Azure)**
- **Advanced MS Office, particularly Excel.**:

- **Financial acumen and knowledge of budgeting for a complex IT environment.**:

- **Must be able to maintain and build good relationships with team and vendors.**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Support subsidiaries within the areas listed**:
**1. Infrastructure Design and Implementation**:
**a. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and plan the organization’s IT infrastructure.**

**b. Ensure the successful installation and configuration of network components, servers, and related hardware.**

**c. Implement best practices for scalability, security, and performance.**

**2. Staff Management**:
**a. Oversee and manage teams responsible for networking, server administration, and physical cabling.**

**b. Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members.**

**c. Ensure adequate staffing levels and skill development.**

**3. Vendor Management**:
**a. Evaluate and select technology solutions from vendors.**

**b. Negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships.**

**c. Monitor vendor performance and adherence to service level agreements.**

**4. Standards and Procedures**

**a. Ensure compliance with CFAO Group policy and requirements**

**b. Establish and enforce IT infrastructure standards and procedures.**

**c. Document processes, guidelines, and operational protocols.**

**d. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security practices.**

**5. Strategy and Planning**

**a. Develop long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with local and CFAO Group organizational goals.**

**b. Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.**

**c. Plan for capacity growth and disaster recovery.**

**6. Monitoring and Reporting**

**a. Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and security.**

**b. Generate regular reports for senior management on infrastructure health and key metrics.**

**c. Adress any anomalies promptly.**

**7. Infrastructure Software**

**a. Oversee software licensing, updates, and patches.**

**c. Optimize software usage for cost-effectiveness.
