**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Individual outputs**
- Manage individual productivity
- Fraud awareness training and consulting services
- Proposal documents / letters of engagement
- Forensic investigations
- Litigation support - disciplinary; criminal and/or civil
- Data analysis
- Research

**Results accountable for**
- Achievement of overall budget objectives for Forensic Services in relation to Mazars South Africa and Mazars Forensic and Investigation Services internationally
- Achievement of objectives in terms of letters of engagement or proposal documents
- Quality of all Forensic Services outputs (services / deliverables)

**Management**
- Forensic Services annual budget, Forensic Services and individual team members’ marketing budgets and assignment budgets
- Setting of assignment objectives, planning of assignments including resource optimization
- On-going review of work (quality, timeousness, productivity/turnaround times/WIP, completeness) in terms of peer review process and individual performance management
- Approve timesheets and leave
- Setting policies, procedures, systems and standards
- Capacity management (organizational structure, roles, people capacity, capacity in terms of systems, hardware and software, tools, office space, etc.)
- Resolve client queries or escalated client queries

**Leadership**
- Forensic Services strategy
- Performance contracting, reviewing and feedback to staff, both in terms of peer review process and individual performance management
- Remuneration decisions
- Training, development, mentoring and coaching
- Succession planning / talent management
- Staffing - all staffing decisions
- Role model the organizational culture and instill culture in others
- Motivate team

**Clients**
- Manage client relationships
- Grow client base - market services to existing and potential clients
- Liaise with broader Mazars in relation to Forensic Services

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**
- Ten to twelve years working experience in forensics, of which at least five should have been in a management position.

**Qualifications / Education**
- Relevant Masters degree or equivalent (in accounting / auditing / forensic investigation, IT and/or Law) and professional qualification (admission as an advocate who has undergone pupilage and who has practiced in chambers; admission as an attorney; chartered accountant; and/or certified fraud examiner)

**Functional Knowledge & Skills**
- Ability to understand quickly the way in which a client organization operates, both formally and informally, in terms _inter alia_ of its systems, processes, policies, procedures and/or practices
- Working knowledge of the law of evidence
- Above average knowledge of relevant legislation and legal process, including the Constitution and all legislation relevant to forensic services and forensic investigation (e.g. Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act of 2004, POCA, Protected Disclosures Act, FICA)
- Working knowledge of information gathering tools e.g. public and other databases (Transunion ITC, Experian, Krollmie, Cybertel, SAFPS), forensic software (Encase, Analyst Notebook) and surveillance and contacts
