**Primary Objective**
- The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records.
- People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.
- Ensure the efficient and productive running of the Warehouse.
- Stock control and movement of stock into and out of the Warehouse, as well as plan, organize and control the staff of the Warehouse on a daily basis.
- Responsible for all the documentation clearing of all imported products and exported products.
- Responsibilities include receiving goods, stocking shelves and ensuring that invoices are filed appropriately.
- Expected to be experts in knowing their company’s products and how they are to be placed. Since the position of a logistics & warehouse supervisor has much to do with shipping, employees working at this position are required to understand the shipping process completely.

**Main Tasks**

**The role is directly accountable for the following items, which constitute the Main Tasks of the position**:
**Supervision of Staff**
- Supervise the work of the Warehouse personnel, receiving, picking and checking of products, to ensure that the daily quota of work and deadlines are met.
- Ensure that all Warehouse personnel are working efficiently and achieve maximum productivity.
- Assist with on the job training of Warehouse staff to ensure they are kept up to date with any changes in Policies and Procedures.
- Daily planning and work allocation by liasing with the planning department and daily requirements.
- Liaise with Quality Control on daily basis and follow up on unreleased stock.
- Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filing and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements (technical service, vendors, etc.), ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filling work orders from production, packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.
- Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
- Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
- Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations.
- Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.
- Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
- Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and serving internal customer

**Logistics**
- Receive shipments and ensure both quality and quantity
- Trace, track and expedite purchase processes
- Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Interact with third party logistics service providers
- Audit freight cost and documentation
- Ensure accuracy of all inventories
- Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure proper working order
- Review bills, invoices and purchase orders
- Ensure all payments are processed in time
- Assist customers with inquiries
- Create packing lists and Invoices.
- Update shipment information in database

**Stock Control**
- Ensuring that all stock movement is correctly done according to (SOP’s)
- Perform a full Warehouse cycle count monthly by ensuring daily counts are performed throughout the Warehouse and the Packers.
- Ensure that the Overflow Location is cleared daily.
- Controlling of all Warehouse related activities.
- Stock rotation (FIFO) is done correctly.
- Correct shipping of all goods to 3rd Party Packers.
- Stock movement from QC to Warehouse is done correctly.
- Checking the shelf life of products, as per QC.
- Loading and off-loading of containers and deliveries from supplies.
- Lock and unlock Warehouse and alarm activation.
- Follow up on the GRN’s and incorrect deliveries

**Administration**
- Keeping all relevant documentation up to date and controlling stock by following all related Warehouse Procedures.
- Ensure that all attendance registers and overtime forms are kept up to date at all times.
- Ensure packing list is compiled correctly. (Codes, description, quantities, batch, expiry dates and weights.)
