RCL FOODS is seeking to employ an experienced **Business Intelligence Officer **for our **Vector Logistics Division **in the Western Cape.

The position will be based in **Belville - Peninsula (Western Cape**).

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Business Performance Reporting**
- Create, analyse and distribute weekly/ monthly Portal reports to internal and external stakeholders (where applicable)
- Site cover analysis
- Out of tills sales
- Gap analysis
- Assist in analysing reports from the Business Intelligence team and report findings/ trends
- Monthly Returns Analysis
- Monthly Sales Analysis
- Risk stock in depots vs short dated stock vs expired stock uplifted from trade
- Stock on hand and Depth of Distribution reports
- Fleet related reports (fuel usage, accidents, fines and driver behaviour)
- Shelf health elements (OSA, stock rotation, shelf position, PI labels etc.)
- Ad hoc reports
- Share with and report relevant data and information to Management teams to enable reliable business decision-making
- Assist Management in compiling Principal cycle presentations and reviews
- Compile Principal and Buyer Business reviews for use by Management
- Ensure that ad hoc requests are adhered to within a 72-hour timeframe dependent on the type of analysis required

**Risk Control**
- Ensure strict confidentiality at all times
- Ensure data security when sending data files to recipients
- Assist with managing users and user roles related to BI platforms and/ or Portal access

**New Business Support/ Business Change Initiatives**
- Provide support for the development of the preliminary business case to support investment
- Report and provide recommendations regarding new business and/ or change initiatives
- Drive reporting and post implementation reviews to the business

***Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Platforms**
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/ data systems
- Interpret the raw data and identify any patterns in which to provide clarity to the non-technical audience.
- Investigate discrepancies that may arise between the different touch points/ systems
- Defining new data collection and analysis processes
- Execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Work cross-functionally to identify ongoing business enablement needs
- Assist in translating business needs to technical specifications
- Assist with the design and implementation of BI Platforms/ Dashboards that will assist in obtaining important business insights
- Evaluate and improve current BI Platforms/ Dashboards
- Maintain rich interactive visualisations
- Integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
- Assist with research on new technologies to help project future trends

***Information and Data Management**
- Work with Management to prioritise business and information needs
- Data cleansing and processing large amounts of raw data
- Data mining using available tools, such as Pivot Tables and Power BI
- Solving business problems by mapping and tracing data
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems
- Assist with evaluating of internal systems for efficiencies, problems and inaccuracies
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalisation
- Training end users on new reports and dashboards

**Administration**
- Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within area of responsibility.
- Compile ad hoc spreadsheets when required.
- Ensure that data captured on management systems is backed up.

**Team Coordination**
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development.
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
- Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.
- Support and drive the business core values.
- Manage colleagues and clients’ expectations and communicate appropriately.
- Demonstrate willingness to help others and “go the extra mile” to meet team targets and objectives.
- Champion training and development of self and others through utilising available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with national training specialists.
- Participate in and drive regular performance appraisals and ensure that own targets and goals are clear and achievable.
- Maintain a basic appreciation and awareness of employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy
