Compliance Pharmacist

Medipost Pharmacy is recruiting for an experienced Pharmacist to fill the position of Compliance Pharmacist. This individual who will work closely with the Responsible Pharmacist to ensure that Medipost Pharmacy Parow adheres to the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) requirements and complies with all the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 53 of 1974, the GPP and other legislation applicable to services which specifically pertain to legislation applicable to the pharmacy.

**Primary purpose of the job**
- To ensure that Medipost Pharmacy Parow complies with all regulations including Good Pharmacy Practice, all regulations relating to Pharmacy such as Code of Conduct, Pharmacy Act 53 of 1974, Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965.
- Conduct biweekly inspections in the Warehouse and office departments and document findings.
- Liaise with departmental managers on findings and ensure clear action plans are completed.
- Take corrective measures in terms of deficiencies identified during inspections.
- Provide guidance on adherence and improvements to ensure continual adherence to regulations.
- Gather all necessary support documentation, including SOP’s for Pharmacy inspections.
- Ensure that all registered staff are listed on the SAPC website under Medipost Parow and keep this updated as staff leave or join.
- Ensure that all staff working in the Pharmacy are working within scope of their qualification.
- Ensure that all Registration certificates are filed, updated during staff movement and easily accessible.
- Work closely with the Responsible Pharmacist and keep this person updated at all times.
- Keep up to date with all Pharmacy Regulatory matters and changes.
- Assist with investigation and process improvements wrt escalated complaints.
- Play a role in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and work closely with the Chairman : OHS.
- Ensure that House Keeping audits are documented and deficiencies actioned.
- Perform any ad-hoc projects which may be necessary for Medipost Pharmacy Parow, including the WC CDU and the Funded Department.
- SAPC Self Inspections to be completed
- Assist with preparation for site inspections
- SAPHRA Compliance
- Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing Experience

**Requirements**:

- BPharm
- 3-5 Years Relevant experience
- Regulatory/Compliance experience an advantage
- Previous RP experience an advantage
- Computer Literate
- Microsoft Office (Excel - Intermediate / Advanced)
