Plan, organize, and participate in construction projects
- Ensure that workers and sub-contractors adhere to health and safety regulations
- Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and regulations
- Help manage costs to keep projects within budget
- Predict resources needed to complete projects
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Issue technical site visit progress updates as needed
- Train and mentor workers and laborers depending on the size of the project
- Lead Teams across multiple different trades
- In charge of and responsible for the use of machinery, equipment and materials on site
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
- Check & ensure that quality control standards are being adhered to
- Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders
- Creating a culture within the organization of exceptional service to clients and employees
- Participating actively as a key member of the Management Team, including demonstrating leadership through strong communications skills, use of business metrics to determine strategy and resource needs, and showing a high level of focus on continual quality improvement
- Understands and reads blueprints and specifications
- General knowledge of construction trades, materials, and construction methods
- Organized, with exceptional time management skills, the ability to plan and multitask in order to meet deadlines
- Experience in managing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, etc.
- Selects materials and structural units, ensuring conformance with provisions of building code
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Accept any foreman related duties and responsibilities as assigned by higher management

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- of ten years (preferred)
